Pod Mocnym Aniołem

The film might seem as a "traditional" story of an alcoholic at first, including stories of his fellow patients from rehab. The main protagonist is a successful writer whom we observe from the moment he meets his love and believes that he can finally win his struggle with alcohol. Yet the director expands the seemingly banal plot line of desire to escape the vicious circle of addiction by not only numerous (tragi)comic elements, but also fantastic visions, illustrating the gradual fall of a person enslaved by alcoholism.
