Albania, year 1995: a tooth for a tooth is demanded because of a murder of a brother. Blood is certainly thicker than water, but how strong is the thousand-year-old tradition of vendetta? And does any of this make sense at all? Common sense is often called upon in the film Vendetta. At the same time, deeds required by old tradition are not questioned. Vendetta controls the tribesmen so strongly that the men expected to execute act of murder do not even dare to step out of their homes. Vendetta lies deep in the heritage of the people featured in the film. The film does not answer questions like: "Why kill in vengeance?" One ponders, do these questions have correct answers? Or, are they the right questions to begin with?
