As a struggling artist, Honda-riding out-lesbian living with her white girlfriend, Reena feels she has nothing on her older married do-perfect sister Sarita - except her ovaries, that is. When Sarita and her husband discover that they cannot have children, Reena offers to serve as a surrogate mother. Trying to convince her girlfriend, Lisa (Jill Hennessey), that they can do this together is just the start of Reena`s problems. Soon enough, Reena`s family and friends pull away convinced that Reena`s decision is a bad one. (Verleiher-Text)
