Juha Berg is a hopeless 30-year-old drunk in the Kallio neighborhood of Helsinki who has no intention of changing his ways. He really enjoys miscellaneous sexual relationships, adrenalin-inducing violence and, of course, alcohol for which he gets money even if by collecting bottles. But the joy of living in a drunken haze is threatened when passionate Juha falls in love with his AA group leader. The relationship with Tiina progresses quickly to dating and Juha has to begin balancing between maintaining a functional intimate relationship and his old lifestyle. Juha's best friend Kristian does his best to sabotage the relationship, and Juha's shaky decision to stay sober is further hindered by Mikael, an expert on German erotica. (Verleiher-Text)

Englisch The only way to watch this movie ever again for me is with a 0.4 % blood alcohol content and sitting on top of a tractor. I’d gotten used to the Finns being crazy. But I had no idea that they would take the life of one of their own and turn it into a satire. The only thing missing in this movie were slot machines in shopping malls. Seems they still think that it is normal – as opposed to alcohol. Anyways, this politically incorrect comedy immediately became one of my favorite brutal European comedies and it actually ranks among the most incorrect things I will never forget. ()
