Englisch When I found there would be a movie on cycling and travelling on Cinemax, it sure got my attention. I started looking forward to One Mile Above immediately and the only thing I could think of that day was “One Mile Above is on tonight!” Then I sat down to watch the movie in the evening and I witnessed the beautiful Chinese landscape that I will probably never get to see in real life, and also the smooth and level roads, which is something you don’t get to see in Czechia very often. Within five minutes, I was tossed into the Chinese landscape and what started unravelling can only be likened to cycling purgatory. Since I am a cyclist myself, I could pretty much imagine what it would be like. All in all, I have to admit that the authors did a proper job. Not only do you get to see the beauty of the Chinese mountains, I also got to see their worse aspects. I’m a bit disappointed though that the movie ended as quickly as it began. But the five-star rating is definitely well-deserved. ()
