Polizeichef Forrester will sich die telekinetischen Fähigkeiten der so genannten "Scanners" zunutze machen, um die Weltherrschaft an sich zu reißen. Dazu konnte er den jungen Scanner David bereits für sich gewinnen. Doch als Forrester sich andere Scanner mit Hilfe von Drogen gefügig machen will, stellt sich David mit seiner Schwester gegen ihn. The film once again has excellent gore, where the exploding head is simply worth it. This is really well done in the movie and it will impress even those who don't have to or won't be particularly enthusiastic about the film. The psychological battles here are not revolutionary in any way, it's all just about how the characters look, but otherwise, why not? If you don't expect any great depth from the film, it will entertain you.
