A seemingly harmless fit of jealousy between two lovers brings about an increasingly sinister entanglement of events. Hidden secrets are revealed, sly lies are decoded, and eventually the characters begin to show their true colours. In this thriller, gripping until the last minute, nothing is as it appears to be at first sight.
Late autumn in the Czech countryside: After a fierce quarrel with her boyfriend Richard, Dora leaps out of their car onto a country road. The place where she stops a passing car a few minutes later is a spot that is known to be a pick-up place for prostitutes in the area. The driver of the car, Adam, takes Dora for a prostitute and offers her a business deal: She is to pretend to be his younger brother Martins’ girlfriend at a family reunion, in order to give the family an impression of Martin having mastered his personal crisis and having given his life a new sense of direction.
In order to escape the jealous and violent Richard, Dora takes Adam up on the offer, and even accepts a generous advance payment from him. Richard follows the two of them. A suspense-packed car chase begins, during which Richard loses track of Dora repeatedly. He eventually manages to find out her whereabouts by enlisting the help of a policeman friend under false pretenses. On an isolated farm in the woods, where the odd-seeming Martin dwells, a nerve-wracking cat-and-mouse game begins. (Verleiher-Text)

Considering it's a Czech film, and a thriller at that, it's surprisingly good and has a great atmosphere, especially in the isolated parts. The problem is that the script tries to be complicated, and perhaps unnecessarily tangled. It's a shame because the characters are quite interesting, but most of them are transparent.
