Vom bayerischen Passau ins Morgenland träumt sich der kleine Philipp, genannt Lippel. Sein Vater, ein Nobelkoch, ist auf Geschäftsreise in den USA und deshalb passt die neue Haushälterin Frau Jakob auf ihn auf. Sie entpuppt sich als fieser Kinderschreck und so flüchtet sich der Elfjährige in eine orientalische Traumwelt, in der auf seltsame Weise auch sein Papa, Frau Jacob und zwei Klassenkameraden auftauchen. Hier gilt es nun, nichts weniger als eine heimtückisch eingefädelte Palastrevolution zu vereiteln. (Universum Film)

Blond and blue-eyed young man moves into a new German town. And to help him find friends the screenplay puts two Arabic looking, German speaking children in his way. And to make it more even more acceptable and politically correct in the true German fashion, the creators nonsensically brought the world of Middle East into the film as well. Just to make the German children watching this nonsense realize that Arabia is nice too. Under other circumstances I think I wouldn’t mind it, but it would have to be less deliberate.
