Paradaiseu mokjang

I'm stuck on the fourth episode and can't bring myself to keep watching. The heroine is presented as the ultimate genius, but her behavior is that of a grade school girl, the biggest dork imaginable, and the whole situation didn’t amuse me. Even the performances didn't draw me in, quite the opposite. EDIT: It's so boring. The story drags on like a bad smell, the actors act like sleepwalkers, like they're not even enjoying it, as if they’re telling themselves it's not even worth trying. Just the same thing over and over again. Even the music can't elevate it to two stars. I didn't find, didn't see, didn't hear a single thing that could pull it up there, so I have to rate it with just the one. I don't recommend it. If you want to see former spouses reunited after XY years apart, you're better off watching Emergency Couple (a tad better), or Cunning Single Lady, which I liked about a hundred times better. The story is quite simple, not a lot of twists or heavy moments await us, but I still enjoyed it. I'm glad I was able to enjoy the atmosphere of Jeju Island and the ranch. Max Changmin can't act much and often looks quite spastic, but his face is like a painting. And he actually fit in quite well here. 3.5 stars. (06.04.2012)
