Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) hat endlich die siebte Klasse erreicht und ist immer noch damit beschäftigt, den Schulalltag möglichst cool zu überstehen. Doch ausgerechnet zu Hause droht neuer Stress, denn sein älterer Bruder Rodrick (Devon Bostick) lässt keine Gelegenheit aus, ihn in peinliche Situationen zu bringen - insbesondere vor Holly Hills (Peyton List), in die Greg total verknallt ist. A film for elementary school kids, for anyone else is just a boring and wannabe funny piece of crap. At least is not a disgrace in the first category, I would rather present the topic of coping with the hardships of first love to young boys also in the context of school classes, because they will hardly experience more trouble in their youth...
