Sherlock

Ich schließe mich eindeutig der Lawine der Fünf-Sterne-Bewertung an, die hier ausgebrochen ist. Holmes und Watson in die Gegenwart zu übertragen war vielleicht riskant, es hat sich aber gelohnt. Die Figuren sprechen ein bisschen anders und Holmes wird von den Polizisten nicht als Sonderling, sondern als perverser Kerl bezeichnet… Es sind aber immer noch die alten Bekannten. Die Geschichte ist vom Anfang bis zum Ende spannend, voller unglaublich trockener Sprüche und ausgezeichneter Dialoge. Außer der nervenaufreibenden Konfrontation am Ende hat mir auch die Verfolgung vom Taxi den Atem verschlagen. (30.03.2016)

Der blinde Banker hat mir richtig gut erst zum zweiten Mal gefallen, als ich mich in der Folge besser orientiert habe. So konnte ich mich auch auf die Beziehung von Holmes und Watson konzentrieren, die sich wieder ein bisschen weiterentwickelt hat. Einerseits geht Holmes Watson schrecklich auf die Nerven, andererseits beeindruckt er ihn immer wieder. Es hat mir Spaß gemacht, das zu beobachten. (30.03.2016)

Moriartys Verhalten erinnert bestimmt einige Zuschauer*innen an Jokers Eskapaden in The Dark Knight. Dieser "Professor“ ist ein herrlich intelligenter Verrückter. Holmes und Watson läuft die Zeit davon und ihr Leben ist in Gefahr. Ihre Hirne können sich in den 90 Minuten kaum ausruhen (so wie die Zuschauer*innen). Das Finale ist wirklich gelungen. Irene Adler zu einer Domina zu machen hat den gleichen Mut gebraucht, wie Sherlock Holmes ins einundzwanzigste Jahrhundert zu übertragen. Aber Hut ab – es hat wieder einmal geklappt und es ist eine beeindruckende Show von funkelnden Intrigen entstanden. Die Geschichte in dieser Episode ist außerdem schön kompliziert und verworren (ich freue mich schon darauf, die Folge noch einmal zu sehen) und im Vergleich zum Finale der ersten Staffel gibt es auch mehr Humor. Als am Ende alles zusammengepasst hat, war es eine reine Freude. (30.03.2016)

Eine sehr interessante Adaption des ursprünglichen Werkes, das wahrscheinlich jeder kennt. Zwei Dinge, die für meinen Geschmack zu verworren waren, haben mir aber nicht besonders gefallen – der Zufall mit dem leuchtenden Kaninchen und der Hund. Das war wirklich an den Haaren herbeigezogen. Sonst ist es aber ein in allen Hinsichten gelungenes Spiel mit einer ganz anderen Stimmung als in den vorherigen Episoden. (30.03.2016)

Thrilling, what else can I say? What I enjoyed the most was the very dramatic and emotional ending, which managed to get on my nerves even though I am a fan of Conan Doyle and I already knew what would (and also wouldn’t) happen. (02.04.2016)

It's more about Sherlock and John, their tiptoeing and how things actually went down last time, than it is about a new case, which actually almost ends up unsolved, which is a bit of a shame. The ending promises a better show next time, so I will believe it. (27.04.2021)

Unfortunately, the weakest episode of Sherlock so far. I can hardly believe how boring, at times annoying, it was. What's more, in the end, the creators tried to convince me how they had thought everything through, but I still couldn't get rid of the taste of the sitcom wedding party, which made it so that the episode only got to the case after half an hour (!)... Then I didn't enjoy it anyway, because the script kept crushing it with that wedding and an absolutely awful bachelor party. The gentlemen did not deserve this. (28.04.2021)

The villain is great. Disgusting, slimy, cunning. He could have been a worthy opponent for Sherlock, if the creators wanted him to be. But they didn't. It’s like they gave up on having any tension and replaced it with humor that is far from always effective, exchanging Sherlock's believable deductions for absolutely unbelievable thought processes (if in the last episode of the second season you found his search for an abandoned chocolate factory to be ridiculous, this time you will be force to take a sedative), they mix various supporting characters into the story, which are either as ingenious as Sherlock or as stupid as Lestrade, the plot is overly complicated in order to hide its shortcomings... And in the middle of it all, Watson stumbles around helplessly, which you can easily empathize with. And the final solution? I was surprised, but not in the way I would have liked. (28.04.2021)

In the previous season, the creators of Sherlock made me believe that I didn't trust them at all now in what they do, not even the death of one of the main characters. And if that death was to be the best thing that happened in this episode, I'm sorry to say that it didn't work out. The thing is that it started so well, with the echoes of the first season, it looked like a decent investigation, but then everything got complicated, overly complicated and in the end the twist put a halt to everything. Neither Sherlock nor Watson had the best scene, but rather their borrowed dog. (29.04.2021)

Toby Jones is a great villain, but this episode doesn't deserve him. And if you don't find yourself shaking your head at the plan to save John or the revelation of who's who, there's probably nothing wrong with your life, and you can go and teach Zen masters about peace. Yes, I liked Sherlock's drug scenes, and the part with a devastated detective catching up with his own brain, but it seemed like a completely different series. I'm sorry to say I'm looking forward to the last episode of Sherlock mainly because it will be the last. (30.04.2021)

It was actually quite decent... Until it became Saw and I started wishing it would be over before it got worse. Sherlock has changed remarkably in four seasons. I don't just mean the central character, who has turned from an eccentric, brilliantly thinking antisocial to a an absolute psychopath dangerous to himself, to those close and far from him - by that I mean the whole series, which went from something unexpectedly amazing to something unexpectedly unsuccessful. I'm not angry, but I'm very disappointed. However, I will be happy to return to the first two seasons. They were good, the episodes built on each other and did not refute each other. (30.04.2021)
