At first glance, it's clear that this is going to be a movie that is overly long. At first glance, you also think it will be action-packed. While it's action-packed, the fact that the special effects are rather tragic makes the action not work very well. The film works much better as social criticism, which is something that appears more frequently in Rajnikanth's movies. But it's hard to avoid in India.
