Not Quite Hollywood: The Wild, Untold Story of Ozploitation!

Unersetzliches Geschenk vor allem für diejenigen, deren Kenntnis des australischen Films mit Mad Max beginnt und mit Crocodile Dundee endet. Eine Vielzahl von Schauspielern, Regisseuren, Drehbuchautoren oder Produzenten analysieren und erinnern sich liebevoll an mehrere Jahrzehnte des sogenannten Ozploitation, der sich bei den Antipoden von den frühen 70er Jahren bis zur Gegenwart entwickelt hat. Wir werfen also nicht nur einen Blick auf kontroverse erotische Komödien und Actionthriller, sondern natürlich auch auf Horrorfilme. Und wie bereits mein Kollege Flipnic erwähnte, habe auch ich mir eine Menge interessanter Flicks notiert, die ich unbedingt sehen muss! Ein sympathisches Detail ist mir bei den begeisterten Kommentaren von Quentin Tarantino aufgefallen, der hier nicht als Schauspieler oder Regisseur genannt wird, sondern als Fan. (13.06.2013)

"Kam se hrabe Hollywood" is another great example of how documentaries about movies, even B movies, should be made. It is filmed with enthusiasm, featuring personalities worth paying attention to and whom you wouldn't otherwise learn about. This is simply something that makes it worthwhile to watch similar films. If you don't like B movies, here you will realize that they have something to offer and that you might need to reconsider your opinions a bit. And not just because you will see some truly nice breasts here. (29.12.2014)
