Yi ban hai shui, yi ban huo yan

Leggy waitress Li Chuan's (Monica Mok) normal life takes a fateful turn when she falls for maniacally charismatic conman Wang Yao (Liao Fan). Wang runs a swindling ring in which his female cohorts lure men to hotel rooms, and then he bursts in as the angry husband and violently coerces compensation. Blinded by her desperate love, Li Chuan reluctantly joins the gang, but she turns out to be a stubborn handful, even for the controlling and dangerously temperamental Wang Yao. With the police hot on their tracks and infighting settling in, they descend into a spiral of madness and bloodshed. (Verleiher-Text)
