Bereits in der Frühzeit hat man sich die Frage nach dem Sinn des Lebens gestellt. So auch der faule Neandertaler Zed, der vom Baum der Weisheit gegessen hat und sich anschließend nicht mehr mit den restlichen Dorfbewohnern identifizieren kann. Also verlässt er den Ort mit seinem besten Freund Oh, und eine turbulente Reise quer durch die Bibelgeschichte und die Anfänge der Zeitrechnung beginnt.
