Father of the Pride

Featuring the voices of John Goodman, Cheryl Hines, and Carl Reiner, the show envisioned a family of lions in the employ of Las Vegas magician-showmen Siegfried and Roy. Surrounded by the other animals of the magic show and the wacky magicians themselves, parents Larry (Goodman) and Kate (Hines) struggle to raise their children in a stable environment. Despite the cuddly animated characters, many of the jokes on the show were firmly aimed towards an adult audience, generating the possibility of enjoyment for all ages. (Verleiher-Text)
