Englisch James Bond for kindergarten kids? It moves along briskly, but it's all so childish and predictable that I actually missed the commercial break with blue hippos and new toys from Mattel every 15 minutes. The casting of the likeable Ewan McGregor is a mere publicity stunt given his approximately 3-minute presence, and the protagonist with his bravado and plankiness doesn't add much to it either. As for the originally intended four sequels, for God's sake, how could the creators think that this thing would have any wider audience appeal? ()

Englisch Which young boy wouldn't want to be a secret agent? Knowing all martial arts, having no fear, making good decisions at every moment, even during the greatest danger? Alex Rider is not exactly one of those boys, but he has hobbies that James Bond might envy. He climbs mountains, skis, rides rivers, attends various courses where he learns how to defend himself. He always thought they were just hobbies that his boring uncle led him to. But when his uncle dies and Alex finds out that his guardian was not a boring clerk, but a secret agent, the young man's life changes. He is supposed to become an agent of the British secret organization himself. First, he undergoes rigorous training, where he excels. But then he is sent on a mission, which will be even more demanding. He faces a maniac with the face of Mickey Rourke and must uncover his conspiracy. Isn't he too young after all? A very irrelevant question, because it is clear that the answer is negative. No, he is not too young at all, he is just the right age to save all of Britain. The film tries to appeal to younger viewers as well with its not very innovative story, including the gadgets that agents usually receive for their operations. There will be no lack of super acid, parachute, or pen with a shooting dart filled with a substance that makes the affected person obey all commands. The film also introduces Alex Pettyfer, who could have become a favorite of many girls, which he tried to confirm in the film "Stormbreaker," where he already had a more mature look. "Stormbreaker" is primarily meant to entertain, and I think it's not a bad film for an afternoon. It will escape you, maybe you will smile here and there, and then you will simply watch "Skyfall" and really get into it.
