Englisch I like Rudiš's bookish post-punks and Ondříček's visuals that go to the free level of the Schengen Area. But this merger of Liberec's weirdos grinds like a tram on an unpolished track. The shallow catchphrases and the coldly refined romance simply don't disguise the fact that only the German officer goes under the surface, and the rest of it floats along like a hand-sewn balloon. It’s graceful, but also an eyesore. ()

Englisch Suffocated, eccentric, erotomaniac, psychopath. Ještěd is full of unbearably micro-dimensional characters who annoy to such an extent that I eventually looked forward to those meaningless long shots of the transmitter with Taclík staring, occasionally in the background of which Mucha occasionally breaks into beautiful melodies. Otherwise, I'm annoyed by this view of the world where everyone is either selfish or stupid, and those who carefully hide some peculiarity deserve happiness. ()

Englisch Another Czech ode to smallness. But what's the point of Ještěd with clouds when only Ladislav Mrkvička and Jaromír Dulava are doing any meaningful acting? And yet neither of them is Schmeling... And what about Tatiana Vilhelmová's cameo? Beyond that, I was bored with the lifelessness of Klára Issová's nudity and the unintentionally retro-looking hotel interiors. The cut storyline with Vanda Hybner is fascinating. ()

Englisch In one place, there are so many strange characters that it creates an interesting and actually beautiful mosaic of destinies, which is ultimately very positive. The actors deliver performances expected from their roles, and I enjoyed this movie. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect from it at all, but it pleasantly surprised me. ()
