Der gesuchte Mörder Billy John wird von dem Kopfgeldjäger Ben Brigade festgenommen. Dieser will den Kriminellen nach Santa Cruz bringen, wo er verurteilt werden soll. In the western "Ride Lonesome", it is already apparent that the characters in the Wayne-esque style were not that interesting and it was necessary to come up with something more interesting in the genre. This western has pleasantly dirty and sweaty guys, as well as one beautiful woman, which works excellently just from this aspect. However, it also has a story that is interesting and eventually leads to some surprises.
