Nach dem Bürgerkrieg kehren Jesse James (Colin Farrell) und seine Freunde auf ihre Farmen in Missouri zurück. Dort treibt der Eisenbahn-Boss Rains (Harris Yulin) sein Unwesen. Er versucht, den Farmern ihr Land wegzunehmen. Wer sich ihm in den Weg stellt, wird beiseitegeschafft. So geht der Tod von James' Mutter auf Rains' Konto. Da schwören Jesse James und seine Gang Rache. Sie überfallen die Banken, bei denen die Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft ihr Geld deponiert hat und verteilen es an Bedürftige. I have seen so many better films labelled western comedy that this one gets lost among them. It's not bad and it does the job, perhaps, but the story itself is so stale, uninteresting and emotionally cold that it doesn't deserve a higher rating.

Western, horses, plain, Colin Farrell... and also Moby. From the very beginning, it is clear that we will go towards jokes, love, good hearts, and comfort. And everything works, it's just that in the end, everything is half-hearted. Each scene unfolds on its own, nothing gets messed up, so there is nothing to unravel. Definitely not offensive, but with a little extra push at the end, the outlaws could shoot much further.
