Die junge Yesterday (Leleti Khumalo) lebt in ärmlichen Verhältnissen in einem entlegenen Dorf in Südafrika. Ihr einziger Lichtblick ist ihre siebenjährige Tochter Beauty. Da erfährt Yesterday, dass sie an AIDS erkrankt ist. Es dauert, bis sie überhaupt versteht, was das bedeutet. Ihr sehnlichster Wunsch ist es, mit ihrer Tochter noch zu erleben, was ihr selbst nie vergönnt war: den ersten Schultag. (Sky Atlantic)

This movie is not innovative but on the other hand you will be able to realize what the life looks like in RSA for a person with AIDS. And that makes the film worth watching because it means that one day it will become a testimony of this period of time.
