The Bread, My Sweet

Dominic (Scott Baio) feels torn between two worlds. In one world, he plays the ultimate, cutthroat, corporate tool - - complete with a sleek car and all the other trappings of the lifestyle. In the other world, however, he becomes a loving man who takes care of his two brothers, one handicapped and one a flighty actor. He also runs a baking company, and develops a relationship with Bella, an older, mother figure. He and Bella grow close, and she talks at length about her daughter Lucca and her long struggle to save enough money for Lucca to have a proper American wedding (though her daughter has no prospective groom). When Bella reveals that she suffers from a terminal illness, Dominic sees where his priorities lie, and searches for Lucca to try to make Bella's wedding wish come true. (Verleiher-Text)
