The portrait of the "poet maudit", Rafał Wojaczek, is not a typical biographical film but rather an experimental insight into the psyche of the gifted artist. Majewski focuses mainly on the last period of his life, which ended by a tragic death. Wojaczek's myth is full of scandals and stories that piece together the mosaic of his complicated personality. The lead role was portrayed by a young Polish poet, Krzysztof Siwczyk, who was nominated for the European Felix film award. The rough black and white film exquisitely reflects the oppressive atmosphere of communist Poland in the 1960s (Febiofest)
