Ronnie Dobbs (David Cross) is in and out of trouble nightly. A small town man with a pea sized brain, Ronnie finds a way to get locked up and then spins yarns about it to his friends about the experience that are shorter than most novels. The one person who sees something is Terry Twillstein (Bob Odenkirk), an infomercial director who needs a subject to rejuvenate his career. In the process, he makes a star out of good ol' boy Ronnie, whose only goal is to earn the love of Kayla (Nikki Cox). (Verleiher-Text)

Englisch It’s actually a non-aggressive comedy full of crazy moments and cameos of truly famous people, but also the less-known Hollywood entertainers. I believe that those who filmed this have really enjoyed doing it. I probably wouldn’t manage to watch this a second time. I feel like at the turn of the century, a lot of comedies like this came to life. For example, it reminds me of Bubble Boy, Deuce Bigalow, The Animal or The Waterboy; great to see once, but not the second time. ()
