A Good Person

Going in Style didn't impress me too much, so I approached his new film cautiously and without high expectations, but in the end I was quite satisfied. No, enthusiasm did not arrive in this case either, the creators in this drama did not go deep enough for me, because they focused too much on various addictions and I would rather appreciate more interaction and dialogue between Allison and Daniel, but it was not a bad movie at all and I was not far from the fourth five-pointed star before the end. It was interesting for me to watch how a person who caused the death of two people is sentenced to life imprisonment (even though he tries to downplay or completely deny his guilt outwardly). I always immediately think of all those poor souls whose experiences from an unhappy childhood led them to murder(s) in adulthood and who then openly mock the families of the victims during their usually mild sentence. Zach Braff certainly did not intend this, but his film led me to such thoughts and I credit him for it. / Lesson: Today I don't have to come up with anything, I'll use a quote from the movie: "Comparison spoils joy." 3*+ (18.05.2024)
