Die Unglaublichen

A beautiful homage to super-hero comics and Bond films and a visual juggernaut all in one. The animated characters are really acting, you can see the whole range of human emotions in their faces. (God, where is this technology going? I can see a movie trailer in a couple of years for maybe a comedy starring Ben Stiller, Mr. Incredible and a rendered Marilyn Monroe) The animation is excellent, the water actually looks like water, Vi and Elasti-girl's hair occasionally flutters so adorably in the wind, and... and anyway, I don't want to get into any glorified odes here. In terms of screenwriting, The Incredibles may not be as emotionally gripping as Finding Nemo, but it's a great show. I'm very happy for Brad Bird's success and the satisfaction of flopping with The Iron Giant. A little poll before closing: Who was your favorite superhero? Um ehrlich zu sein verstehe ich den großen Hype um diesen Film nicht wirklich. Ich denke, wir hatten das Privileg, lustigere und treffendere Cartoons zu sehen. Die Unglaublichen sind nicht annähernd so fantastisch, wie sie es hätten sein können, aber sie gehören zur erweiterten Elite des Genres. Meiner Meinung nach ist es vor allem der Stil, den sie sich von den klassischen Abenteuerfilmen der 60-er Jahre abgeschaut haben und der durch den phänomenalen Soundtrack von Michael Giacchino ermöglicht wird, der stolz das Swing-Feeling von John Barrys unvergesslichen Werken für sich beansprucht (007-Fans wissen, wen ich meine ;o)). Ansonsten bietet Die Unglaublichen einen einigermaßen lesbaren Plot mit einem Bösewicht, der sein Geheimnis in einem Vulkan versteckt (habe ich das schon irgendwo mal gesehen?) und ein recht lustiges Spiel mit einer Familie von Übermenschen spielt, die ihre Fähigkeiten nicht zeigen dürfen, was ihnen verständlicherweise sehr peinlich ist. Der Witz dieser "Maskerade" wird jedoch durch viele Familiendialoge getrübt, denen es an Schwung fehlt und die nach ein paar Minuten ein wenig nervig werden. Glücklicherweise nimmt der Film nach einer Weile ein sehr anständiges Tempo auf, die Animatoren übertreffen sich selbst, die Action-Darbietungen der Hauptdarsteller sitzen wie angegossen (sie sind Machos, wenn sie gerendert werden, nicht wahr?), und der rasante Ritt mit Retro-Geschmack schafft es bis zur Ziellinie. Es ist keine große Sache, es ist ein bisschen repetitiv und kocht aus dem gleichen Wasser, einige der Nebencharaktere sind ausgezeichnet (vor allem der exzentrische Handwerker Edna, könnte es das Äquivalent von Mr. Q. sein?), andere sind ein bisschen geschmacklos, einige Szenen sind großartig, andere sind ein bisschen fade, aber insgesamt erfüllt es seinen Zweck - es ist unterhaltsam und Fans von alter Spionage-Action können einfach nicht enttäuscht werden. Dennoch würde ich behaupten, dass die besten Bond-Filme ohne elastische Helden und dampfmaschinenbetriebene Kampfflugzeuge viel lustiger waren. Wenn ich den Unglaublichen etwas zugute halten muss, dann ist es die Leichtigkeit, mit der sie es geschafft haben, todernste Elemente und "echte" "Live-Action"-Spannung in einen niedlichen Zeichentrickfilm einzubauen. Vielleicht werden sie eine neue Linie einführen, die sich mit dem Trend der CGI-Filme vermischt und... was genau? (23.12.2004)

It is good that Pixar tackled an unusual theme for an animation in their most anticipated project, but the partial parody and tribute to superheroes are somewhat unfinished. The aspects of the table scene or the jet action mentioned several times are fine, but you can already anticipate them from the trailer. Unfortunately, in my eyes, Pixar did not achieve it, and I did not find either the family atmosphere or a reason to admire. Slow, predictable, and despite the relatively relaxed characters and plot, too easily forgettable. (24.02.2006)

The Incredibles is a typical animated hit focused on the widest audience possible, primarily intended for American viewers who are well acquainted with comic book culture. Those who grew up on Spiderman, Batman, and other superheroes will enjoy the film, but other viewers won't be left out either. Overall impression: 75%. (01.11.2009)

6. Pixar-Spielfilm Hier ist es kein Wunder, dass eine Fortsetzung kommen musste. Denn so eine hohe Messlatte, wie sie die Die Unglaublichen aufgelegt haben, ist nicht oft zu sehen. Und da sind sie schon lange vor MCU herausgekommen. Pixar-mäßig. (20.10.2019)

I don’t know why I was wary of The Incredibles before watching it, and I successfully avoided it for a long time. But then I could no longer resist, reached for the VHS and had a royally good time!!! I'm glad to see that even from a premise revolving around real life (even if only very distantly), you can conjure up such a funny and incredibly entertaining action-packed spectacle. And I had that impression not only after the first screening, but also after the second and then after the third! And that alone, of course by my standards, is an example of bulletproof quality. 100% (24.09.2011)

Oh yeah, it's a stylish ride, surprisingly oriented imho more toward an adult audience, although there are a few infantile jokes. The characters are likable, the animation is clever, I laughed a few times ("I declare war against peace and happiness", "...and he’s got me on a platter, and he starts monologuing about how feeble I am compared to him, how inevitable my defeat is, the world will soon be his...") and the action is cool. For me, one of the best animations of all time, mainly because it can make fun of superheroes, but in a way that you will also admire them. It also has the essence of great TV series from the 60s, as well as excellent gadgets and features that the movie is full of. This is an example of how ideas come together in one heap, but it's not just a silly collage, but a perfectly functioning mechanism. (23.12.2013)
