Kevy István is cherishing dreams on his estate at Kanalasdomb about a farm unparalleled in quality, a dream that may come true, given the fact that Lapidária Csöpi Ferkó, Co. is about to buy some of his landed property. The director general has Böske, his spoiled daughter, sent to Kanalasdomb. On paper, she is employed as a secretary by her father's company, but the "work" she does is masterminding little plots against her female colleagues. On the way to Kanalasdomb, Böske's car skids off the road into a ditch. When Kevy István comes to her assistance, she becomes uppity, thinking he is a local peasant. The young man gives the spoiled "young lady from Pest" a good lesson. Despite their bickering, they fall in love with each other. Their marriage becomes possible, despite the fact that the girl's parents are opposed to it, with the help of Count Kelecsényi, president of Lapidária Co., Kevy István's grandfather. (Verleiher-Text)
