Als Familienvater Adam Gibson eines Tages von der Arbeit nach Hause kommt, muß er schockiert feststellen, daß ein Klon seinen Platz eingenommen hat. Noch ehe er herausfinden kann, wer ihn geklont hat und warum, ist ihm auch schon die Killertruppe eines mächtigen Wirtschaftskartells auf den Fersen. Doch so leicht läßt sich Gibson nicht abservieren und setzt alles daran, sein altes Leben wieder zurück zu bekommen. Bald wird auch seinen Widersachern klar, dass sie den falschen Mann geklont haben! An interesting premise, but a weak script that gradually devolves into a parody of itself. Of course, some of the futuristic visions are fine and quite believable, but there’s nothing else that makes this film compelling. There is no suspense, the action is lukewarm and the cliché at the end is quite tiresome. The most entertaining part of the whole film then is Arnold's attempt at acting. But even when he does break, his smile will always look like he just stepped on a thumbtack with his bare foot.

Either a good actor and a good sci-fi whodunit, or Arnold and lots of action. The two just don't go together. That's why this film looks the way it does.
