Přání k narozeninám

Eine angenehme, lustige und entspannte Komödie mit einer sehr starken Besetzung. Gleichzeitig kann man sie aber auch als Thriller für besorgte und verängstigte Eltern mit einem komödiantischen Hauch bezeichnen. Meine einzigen Kritikpunkte wären die zu lange Szene mit den Polizisten und das etwas schwächere letzte Drittel. Aber ansonsten ist es ein netter Film zum Entspannen. (18.11.2023)

The film left its mark on me in a few ways. The overly bright, colorful visuals, the stylized acting, the oscillation between crazy and stupid, and the ending by the campfire where greasy glucose dripped from the roasting genre clichés. It’s an awkward attempt at something like Meet the Fockers or The Birdcage turned on its head, and I won’t fault it for being self-serving because there will always be buyers for this kind of product. But come on, at least one passionate kiss between Tomáš Klus and Igor Orozovič —where is it, you conservatives? (10.04.2024)
