Forced, along with his brother Sam, to graduate from the Mortuary Academy in order to inherit his late uncle's $2 million estate, shy Max Grimm encounters the hilarious horrors of life after death. But when they learn that the corrupt Dr. Prescott (Bartel) has bled the once-lucrative school dry, the brothers Grimm enlist the help of their colorful classmates to resurrect a dead rock band and save the school. FOD with simultaneous dubbing, ergo I have no idea what the film is, but A. Tesař delicately delivering the line "I like gay dicks" will stay with me forever. I was disappointed that the role of the school principal was not ultimately played by Donald Pleasance.

Mortuary Academy is a hopeless video clusterf*ck that was elevated in the original by the splendidly elegant Paul Bartel, who put forth another of his stunningly humorous, depraved characters, and his always enchanting creative colleague Mary Woronov, who were first brought together by the king of trash, Roger Corman. In the Czech live dubbing, it was further elevated thanks to the captivating freaks of the duo Imanuel Lubrikant and Kafilerie Zawadská, whose melding with the characters prompts speculation on how much the film and dialogue correspond to their own life together ;)
