8MM (1999)

Englisch Damn good and damn rough. As a crime drama, 8MM ventures into less explored waters and it's very, very good. Heavy depression to the end. Not for the faint of heart.

Nur noch 60 Sekunden (2000)

Englisch No script, just something to look at: nice cars, nice women, that's all. If that's enough for some people, that's fine, but I prefer a little more story.

The 6th Day (2000)

Englisch Either a good actor and a good sci-fi whodunit, or Arnold and lots of action. The two just don't go together. That's why this film looks the way it does.

Frantic (1988)

Englisch Weak. Neither Harrison Ford nor Roman Polanski can pull this film off because it's just boring. It might have been a classic average thriller, but you expect a bit more from these two guys.

28 Tage (2000)

Englisch Sandra Bullock can't act, the script isn't worth much either, but the film has something that just doesn't allow me to condemn it absolutely. That something is my all-time favorite Steve Buscemi. It's simply because of him that I can't give it one star.

15 Minuten Ruhm (2001)

Englisch Quite suspenseful and a bit different than the usual thrillers mainly because it focuses on a pair of killers, not cops. Karel Roden is cool, Edward Burns is a prude, and all in all I found this to be a relaxing above average film.

Supernova (2000)

Englisch The whole movie I was waiting for something to happen and nothing did. Except for the interesting beginning (entering hyperspace) there was no scene worth anything. Crap.

Wild Bill (1995)

Englisch A realistic western gone wrong. One of the last nails in the coffin of my favorite genre. Despite the great cast, it's just boring.

Scream 3 (2000)

Englisch Pretty lame compared to the previous episodes. The self-parody doesn't work, Neve Campbell is insanely annoying and the "surprise" at the end really got to me. If next time the killer is an orange walrus played by Marlon Brando, I wouldn't be too surprised. The second star is a nostalgic reminder of the relatively good first film...
