Zivilprozess (1998)
Definitely not a legal drama, but there have been many better things made in this genre. Despite the decent script and quality performances, I was bored quite often. It was kind of slow...
The General's Daughter (1999)
A decent enough crime drama in a military setting. Perfect cast, very good script and an amazing John Travolta. I could easily stand more films like this.
Passwort: Swordfish (2001)
Dominic Sena made a decent action film without being able to rely on a good script. Granted, he was helped a lot by a more than decent cast, but even though I had a relatively decent time, I don't see a reason to watch this film a second time.
Der Musterschüler (1998)
Excellent thriller. Suspenseful and chilling from beginning to end. Ian McKellen is great and so is Brad Renfro. It won't let you go until you finish it.
Die üblichen Verdächtigen (1995)
The best crime film of all time, mainly thanks to the performances, the perfect script and the even more perfect ending. Once you finish watching it, you have to watch it again. And then again and again. And it still won't be enough....
John Carpenters Vampire (1998)
Slightly above average stuff. Too bad John Carpenter ran out of breath halfway through. Unlike his earlier horror films, this one lacks carefully constructed atmosphere, but there's plenty of blood, violence, dry one-liners and a decent James Woods. Which is pretty cool.
Die Klapperschlange (1981)
A more than a decent B-movie with a tough Kurt Russell. Solid entertainment. Now a classic, but not necessarily to everyone's taste.
Halloween - Die Nacht des Grauens (1978)
Great horror movie. It's not as scary as it once was, but it still leaves most of its followers biting the dust thanks to its atmosphere. They say that you are most afraid of what you can't see, but when you see a killer whose emotions are unrecognizable due to his masked face, it may have an even greater effect. And you'll be whistling the musical theme long after you've finished the film...
Der blutige Pfad Gottes (1999)
In a word, perfect. The first philosophical action film. Flawless action, bloody good humour, absolutely perfect music, perfect acting, brilliant cinematography and above all a very interesting idea. Had this film been released in cinemas, it would have shaken the world.
