Target Number One (2020)
A TV movie that has bright moments in the form of unglamorous actors and Hartnett, which surprisingly doesn't feel static, but the plot structure and especially the pacing of the story about drug addicts is half documentary-like (handheld camera) and half told like a dodgy fairytale. I'm sure there are clouds of better films with similar themes where the viewer doesn't start looking suspiciously at their watch after an hour.
Marvel's Daredevil - Oben/unten (2018) (Folge)
A verbose episode with a kick-ass Karen vs Fisk conversation and of course a finale that was kind of predictable a few episodes back thanks to the chemistry and proper interaction.
Das Spielzugbuch - Regeln fürs Leben: José Mourinho (2020) (Folge)
A short, not very revelatory, but quite entertaining documentary about the legendary coach, who is shown as a controversial guy in his early coaching days, a skilled manipulator and certainly a very interesting person from whom anyone can take inspiration when it comes to working with people. Focused, brisk, not too comprehensive. Alright for 35 minutes.
Marvel's Daredevil - Nachwirkungen (2018) (Folge)
Interestingly conceived manipulation of the FBI agent by Fisk, but otherwise it's mostly drawn out nothing. Foggy and Karen are just there to live up to their characters and somewhere along the way there is a use for them that at least makes some sense.
Marvel's Daredevil - Ein kalkulierbares Übel (2018) (Folge)
A top notch fight between good and bad Daredevil. But you’ll probably won’t remember anything a week later.
Marvel's Daredevil - Das perfekte Spiel (2018) (Folge)
An episode about bad guys with an almost complete absence of good guys. This is how experimental the third of season Daredevil can be. Interesting, just a bit awkward in terms of pace and tempo.
Marvel's Daredevil - Überraschungen (2018) (Folge)
The prison scene is again the highlight of an otherwise highly average third season. If I take into account that each of the seasons had an imaginary peak of all the action scenes in the ones where most things happened on a minimum of shots and cuts, then this one is probably a winner, or a tie with the second one, with another fight on stairs. Both are similarly imaginative, the prison one is perhaps a little darker and gloomier, but it's sensational nonetheless, and you can feel the inspiration from Hard Boiled behind every other camera shot.
Marvel's Daredevil - Der Fluch der guten Tat (2018) (Folge)
Matt has been looking for the meaning of life and his own existence for three episodes, and it’s already too much.
Marvel's Daredevil - Bitte (2018) (Folge)
Everything about Matt is lame, contrived, unnecessarily religiously themed and wordy. Everything about Fisk, his greatest enemy, is unpredictable and makes sense. So far two strongly uneven endings and a third season that is leaving a dull impression.
Marvel's Daredevil - Wiederauferstehung (2018) (Folge)
Lukewarm, thoughtful, controversial. Sort of Daredevil Rises, only without any epicness, and a proper budget with a hero who, at least this time, doesn't have nearly as much charisma. I can’t wait for Fisk to get out of prison and start doing his thing.
