Toybox (2018)
The American film The Toybox is a black-humor B-movie that you need to watch with an open mind. If you can do that, I'm pretty sure you'll have fun watching it, you won't take the film seriously, you'll forgive it for feeling forced in certain parts, and you'll end up watching the end credits thinking that it wasn't great, but that it also wasn't a waste of time.

The Wasp Woman - Die Wespenfrau (1959)
The American film The Wasp Woman, directed and produced by Roger Corman, is a fine B-movie where you will really be looking forward to peering at the face of the wasp woman. And when that moment comes, it's great, and the mask is also great. The plot then suddenly becomes really rough, at least for its time. I could definitely watch a lot more of these awesome B-movies.

Hush (2016)
You will get what you expect from the horror film Hush i.e., a deaf heroine who has to fight for her life. It's a good topic, and it's not badly handled at all. There is nothing downright unique about it, but the film plays well with the cards it is dealt. It's quite raw, uncomfortable, claustrophobic, and it has atmosphere. What more could you want from a film like this? In the end, I claim satisfaction.

Flight of the Living Dead: Outbreak on a Plane (2007)
In the American film Plane Dead you'll find stupid acting, stupid dialogue, and characters so annoying you almost hope the plane will crash with them right at the beginning, but despite all that, you might end up enjoying the second half. It's simply a ride where it's all about where the body count stops. It's quite easy to finish watching a film like this.

Русалка: Озеро мёртвых (2018)
The Russian horror film Mermaid: The Lake of the Dead tries too hard to approximate the American style of horror filmmaking, which is a shame. There are many such films made in America, but a good Russian horror film... well, there aren't many of those. Unfortunately, this film is also not one of them. It's a mediocre horror that ultimately offers nothing new. The mythological potential of the character remained untapped. I'm being pretty nice with the 50% I’m giving it.

The Nun (2018)
The American film The Nun was rather disappointing for me. Instead of playing on the atmosphere, which could be very dense, it ends up playing more on the impression of how the portrayed will appear. It's as if the film wanted to be a spectacle rather than a good horror film, which strikes me as a shame. Suddenly you have the feeling that you've seen what you're watching elsewhere and that it's not really all that imaginative.

4D Man (1959)
The strength of the American film 4D Man is its special effects, which are really good. There is power in simplicity, the filmmakers said, and that is exactly how they conceived the creation of this film. And it paid off. The scenes still look good after 60 years and I personally wouldn't change anything about them. 4D Man is simply more sci-fi than horror, and I like to watch it mostly for the strange nostalgia it has.

Ouija Experiment 5 - Das Spiel (2016)
The American film Ouija 3: The Charlie Charlie Challenge is a rehash of something we’ve seen many times before, a movie without any ideas that the filmmakers made simply because it seemed like a pretty good idea to them. I guess they really had nothing to do and wanted to kill time. Unfortunately, by doing so, they managed to kill an hour and a half for others as well. There are definitely better ways to spend that time, because watching this movie doesn't give you anything at all.

Killer Movie - Fürchte die Wahrheit (2008)
If you want to watch Killer Movie, it might be because you're a fan of actress Kaley Cuoco, who's really only here because she's hot. Otherwise, there's nothing about her that would interest you. Alas. Another familiar actor is Nestor Carbonell, but even he won’t excite you. Having a few familiar names doesn’t make for a good horror film, and in this case, the other filmmakers failed as well.

Santet (2018)
The Indonesian horror film Santet has the expected build-up but doesn't surprise us with anything. There are no scenes that make you gasp, and there is no development that isn’t traditional in this respect. In the end, the strength of Santet is that it features Kelly Brook, who is still very nice to look at, and it doesn't matter that we only see her with clothes on throughout the film.
