Athina Rachel Tsangari

Athina Rachel Tsangari (b. 1966, Athens) is a Greek director, screenwrtier and producer. Her second film Attenberg (2010) was screened in competition at the Venice festival and represented Greece at the Oscars. As a producer she is particularly known for her work on the films of Yorgos Lanthimos, including the ground-breaking Dogtooth (2009). Both films were presented in the focus on Young Greek Cinema at Karlovy Vary.
