Biografie

Before Grown-ups, her first feature film, Anna Novion directed three short films while studying film at the University of Saint-Denis. After receiving her master’s degree, she wrote a memoir on Ingmar Bergman, entitled Anguish, Guilt and Despair in Bergman’s Work. She directed her first short film, Frédérique est Française, in Sweden in 2000, when she was 19. Shen then worked on Chanson entre deux in 2001 and On ne prend pas la mer quand on la connaît pas (Don’t Go to Sea When You Don’t Know It) in 2004.
