Yagoub Alfarhan

Yagoub Alfarhan is one of the leading faces in the world of Saudi Arabian cinema, television and theatre. Born in Jeddah, he started his acting career in the theatre in 2006. He went on to win best actor awards in Morocco for his theatre performances in 2008 and 2010. He later joined the new wave of Saudi artists who started a cinema movement prior to the cultural renaissance in Saudi Arabia in 2018. In 2019, he starred in the feature film Scales, which was officially selected in the Venice Film Festival/Critics Week and was Saudi Arabia’s official submission to the Oscars in 2020. In 2021, Yaqoub achieved widespread recognition across the Middle East for his iconic portrayal of an 80’s drug lord in the smash hit thriller mini-series, Rashash.
