Biografie

Mexican theater, film, and TV actress. She has developed much of her career on Mexican stages, working with the most prestigious theater directors. She has starred in works by authors such as Bertolt Brecht, Harold Pinter, David Mamet, and Ximena Escalante, among others. In film, she has worked with Rodrigo Plá (on the film that won the Lion of the Future for best debut feature at the 2007 Venice Film Festival), Carlos Carrera, Issa López, Mariana Chenillo, Hari Sama, and Alfonso Cuarón. Her television performances include Ingobernable, for Netflix, and Falco, for Amazon, directed by Ernesto Contreras. Her work has been repeatedly nominated and awarded by different associations of critics and theater journalists in Mexico. She played Sofía in the multi-award-winning film Roma, directed by Alfonso Cuarón. Her performance garnered Oscar® and Platino Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress, the same category in which she won an Ariel in 2019.
