Director and screenwriter. Her short film Niño Balcón (2009) won more than 25 awards and more than 150 festival selections. In 2013 she participated in the collaborative project film factory by Hungarian director Béla Tarr. In 2020, she presented her first feature film as director and screenwriter, Las Niñas, at the Berlinale. After triumphing in Malaga, the film received four Goya awards, including Best Film and Best New Director. In 2022, she premiered La Maternal in San Sebastian, where her leading actress, Carla Quílez, won the Silver Shell for Best Actress. The film was nominated for three Goya awards, including Best Film.
