Biografie

After completing his architectural studies, Lorenzo Mattotti decided to devote himself to comics where he is now one of the greatest representatives at international level. It was published in all major graphics magazines. His books are translated worldwide. Of "Incidents" to "Signor Spartaco", to "Lights", and many others to "The noise of Frost", the work of Mattotti has evolved a strong and constant consistency, but always with the eclecticism of one who has the courage to innovate. For children he illustrated and published "Pinocchio" by Collodi, "The Pavilion on the dunes" Stevenson, and "Eugenio" which was honored in 1993 by the Grand Prix of Bratislava. Mattotti has also worked in fashion for reinterpreting the magazine "Vanity" models of the greatest designers. He has conducted advertising campaigns and designed the covers of magazines like The New Yorker, Le Monde, Sueddeutsche Zeitung. In 1995, the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome and the Frans Hals Museum in Haarlem have dedicated a retrospective.
