Călin Peter Netzer

Călin Peter Netzer (b. 1975, Petroşani, Romania) studied directing at Bucharest’s Theatre and Film Academy. His feature-length debut Maria (2003) premiered at Locarno where it received the Main Jury Prize and awards for the two main actors. His second feature Medal of Honor (Medalia de onoare, 2009) screened at more than thirty film festivals and was selected for the prestigious Variety Critics’ Choice section at KVIFF 2010.
