Carlota Pereda

After graduating at the ECAM, Carlota Pereda set out on her career as a script writer, director and supervisor on television series including Periodistas, Los hombres de Paco and Águila Roja, for which she received a Spanish Academy of Television Iris award nomination. She has directed the short films Las rubias (2015), selected for more than 140 international festivals and winner of more than 15 awards, Cerdita (Piggy, 2017), winner of the Goya and Forqué for Best Short Film among other accolades, and There Will Be Monsters (2019), Focus CoPro Award at Cannes. Her first feature, Cerdita, which she based on her short film of the same name, screened in the Midnight category of the Sundance Festival.
