Biografie

Daan Bakker graduated from the Netherlands Film and Television Academy with Jacco's Film (2009), which won international awards (e.g. the Audience Award at the European Short Film Competition) and screened at the Berlinale. In 2010 he wrote and directed the short film Bukowski, which was selected for the Aspen Shortfest, the Palm Springs Short Film Festival, and many others.

He then gained experience as a story editor and script advisor. In 2013 he co-wrote the screenplay for A Christmoose Story, which found its way into the Generation Kplus section at Berlin. Quality Time, Bakker's feature debut, premiered at Rotterdam in the main competition; although the film took no awards there, it became a favorite of the young jury conferring the MovieZone Award.
