Marianne Faithfull ist Musikerin und Schauspielerin. In den 60er Jahren wurde sie als britische Pop-Sängerin neben den Beatles und den Rolling Stones weltbekannt. Mit letzteren schrieb sie einige Hits. Nach der Trennung von Mick Jagger rutschte sie in eine schwere Heroinabhängigkeit ab. 1979 veröffentlichte sie ihr Comeback-Album „Broken English“ und fand in den 80er Jahren zurück ins Leben. 1994 erschien ihre Autobiografie.
