Biografie

Andrés Di Tella has directed the feature-length documentaries Montoneros, una historia (1995), Macedonio Fernández (1995), Prohibido (1997), La televisión y yo (2003), Fotografías (2007), El país del diablo (2008), Hachazos (2011), ¡Volveremos a las montañas! (2012) and 327 cuadernos (2015), screened in the Zabaltegi section at the San Sebastian Festival. His short film Reconstruyen crimen de la modelo (1990) harvested numerous awards and belongs to the collections of several museums. He has also created installations, pieces of video art and performances. He was similarly the founder and first director of the Buenos Aires Festival of Independent Film (BAFICI). In 2016 he sat on the Horizontes Award Jury in San Sebastian.
