Biografie

Sam was chosen for a leading role in Rebecca Daly's feature film The Other Side of Sleep from an open casting in his home town of Tullamore in 2010. Since then he won the role of Jamie in Misfits season two (Clerkenwell Films/E4) playing the long lost brother to Nathan, Robert Sheehan's character in the BAFTA winning Channel 4 series .

Very shortly after shooting Misfits, Sam was chosen for the role of Desmond in This Must Be the Place, a Paolo Sorrentino feature starring Sean Penn and Frances McDormand which premiered in Cannes in 2011. Sam has also appeared a guest lead (Frankie) in Jack Taylor starring Iain Glen and produced by Magma Films/RTL which aired on TV3 and in season one of The Borgias, directed by Neil Jordan for Showtime.

He went on to appear in season three and four of Raw (Octagon/RTE) in a leading role (Philip) in 2011 and 2012. He featured on a post production project (Dream House) with Jim Sheridan and shot the role of Davy in Two Hearts, a short film written and directed by Darren Thornton.

His another projects include Little Crackers, produced by Tiger Aspect and Sky TV and directed by Sharon Horgan; and he finished shooting the role of Seb in After Death, an independent feature directed by Gez Medinger & Robin Schmidt that released in 2014. Sam was also on location filming the lead role in Monsters: Dark Continent directed by Tom Green and produced by Vertigo Films.
