François Péloquin

François Péloquin is an anthropologist at heart with a deep love of people and their ordinary ways. One of his big strengths is being able to create powerful images that reflect his obsession for truthful details. He discovered the film medium in 1997–98 when, as a videographer for Radio-Canada TV, he shot the travel series "La course autour du monde 97–98." This was followed by numerous short films, commercials, music videos, documentary series and visual designs for the stage. The Sound of Trees is Péloquin's feature debut. He is currently working on his second film entitled The Secrets, whose screenplay again involves the collaboration of Sarah Lévesque.
