Australian filmmaker Megan Riakos earned her bachelor's in communications at the Sydney University of Technology, graduated in direction from the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) and completed a screenwriting program at UCLA. She launched her directing career in 2006 with a short film, Untouched, and followed that with The Eye of the Beholder (2010), Making Tracks (2011), 50-50 (2011), The Shed (2012) and Blue Bird (2013). CRUSHED marks her debut in fiction features.
