Andrei Zaitsev (1975) is a Russian screenwriter and director. He graduated in journalism from Lomonosov Moscow State University and from courses in documentary and live-action film directing from BKCP. He directed the short films My House (Moj dom, 2000) and Poster (Plakat, 2007). He made his debut with the full-length drama The Layabouts (Bezděl'niki, 2011). As a documentary filmmaker he gave us the series The Bridge over the Abyss (Most nad bezdnoj, 2012-2013) and My Great World War – Igor Nikolaev (Moja Velikaja vojna. Vospominanija vetěranov, 2012-2014).
