Hermes Paralluelo (1981, Barcelona, Spain) graduated from the Catalan Centre for Film Studies, majoring in cinematography. While still at school, he made his first short film, Vlozni (2004). Two years later he moved to Argentina where he led a documentary workshop, which resulted in a medium-length film, Pan de Azúcar (2008). His feature-length debut, Yatasto, was awarded as the Best Work In Progress at the Buenos Aires Lab. Upon completion, it received awards at various film festivals around the world; it also competed at the Bratislava IFF in 2012.
